Heidi Klum "Always Seemed So Happy" With Seal, Says Project Runway Winner Irina Shabayeva

Heidi Klum knows how to keep her game face on.
So when the supermodel and hubby Seal announced their split last month, it came as quite a shock to the unknowing public. But even those who worked closely with Heidi were blindsided by the breakup.
Project Runway season six winner Irina Shabayeva told E! News Monday that from what she knew of Heidi and Seal, their union seemed like "a marriage that would last forever and ever."
So why did she think this, aside from the lovey-dovey pictures we all saw of the pair throughout their seven-year-marriage?

Heidi Klum may have stepped out solo for the annual amfAR gala to kick off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC on Wednesday night, but there was still a sign of her estranged husband on the red carpet nonetheless.
Mind you, Seal himself wasn't actually present.
However, the large tattoo that bears his name was front and center on the supermodel's right inner arm.

The annual amFAR gala to kick off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker at Cipriani Wall Street, but Carrie Bradshaw wasn't the only star to stun on the red carpet.

While the supermodel ostensibly sat down with InStyle UK months ago, back when she and Seal were one of Hollywood's poster couples for longevity, her sound bites have only now, unfortunately, gone to print.

It's been a rough week for some of our favorite celebs.
Sure, we've glimpsed the lineup for our biggest game of the year—the Oscars—and there were was lots of baby bumpin', fun fashion and Glee scoop to keep us pleasantly occupied. And the Screen Actors Guild Awards are Sunday!
But along with the ups came the downs, and we hope that those who did not escape the week unscathed stay strong and remember that plenty of fans are pulling for them.

I honestly didn't see the Heidi Klum-Seal split coming. That one shocked me. As for the other couples, yes.

You mean Demi and Ashton and J.Lo and Marc, for instance? Hey, I was pretty surprised by Demi and Ashton, as they had already been through a lot together—many hardships and experimentations in the marriage (which can bring people together just as much as it can tear them apart), shared interests, similar make-ups. But, alas, you're more interested in Heidi and Seal, which, I must confess, I'm not as much. Only because Seal's been passive-aggressively power-hungry with Heidi, from what I hear—just like Marc was with Jennifer. I mean, look at all the press time he's giving his separation lately! While classy Heidi keeps it zipped. Very tacky on his part.
