Heidi Fleiss Goes Back to Prison
Still, let out of California's Dublin federal women's prison November 19 after serving 20 months for various state and federal felonies, the former Hollywood Madam rejected the transitional freedom of a halfway house. After just three days at the Los Angeles facility, Fleiss asked to be returned to prison, arriving back at Dublin December 9.
Publicist Richard Pullman tells Associated Press that Fleiss "felt she would be in a better place" in prison. "She was very unhappy at the halfway house," he explains.
As for how Fleiss--treated for methamphetamine addiction in the past--feels to be back behind bars, Pullman says, "She's extremely happy."
Due to be released in May, ahead of schedule, Fleiss was sentenced in 1997 to a 37-month concurrent sentence for federal and state charges of conspiracy, tax evasion and, of course, running a famous call-girl ring that catered to working-Hollywood likes of Charlie Sheen.
