Heder's Dynamite Daddy News

Napoleon Dynamite's about to get a new little tater tot to call his own.

Jon Heder and wife Kirsten are expecting their first child together, the actor's rep, Nicole Chabot, confirmed to E! News.

It'll be the first stork delivery for the 28-year-old star and his wife. There's no word yet on the sex of the baby or due date.

The rep confirmed the baby news after Heder let slip his impending papa status at a press conference promoting his upcoming comedy remake, School for Scoundrels, in Los Angeles Thursday.

The couple met while attending Brigham Young University in Utah and tied the knot in 2002.

Two years later, Heder hit Hollywood's radar as as the tater tot-pocketing, tetherball-playing, twinkle-toed titular geek in Napoleon Dynamite. The film's writer-director, Jared Hess, was part of Heder's college posse.

Heder quickly landed more high-profile gigs in the recent comedies Just Like Heaven and the Benchwarmers and provided a voice in the summer 'toon frightfest Monster House.

According to IMDb.com, he has four films in the works aside from School for Scoundrels, which is slated for a Sept. 29 release.

He recently wrapped production on the comedy Moving McAllister with Mila Kunis, due out next year, and Mama's Boy, playing a slacker whose domestic bliss is threatened when his mother (Diane Keaton) announces plans to marry a self-help guru (Jeff Daniels). Mama's Boy is set for release later this year.

He's also currently filming Blades of Glory opposite Will Ferrell, Sasha Cohen, Amy Poehler and Will Arnett. The all-star comedy centers on two rival ice skaters who were stripped of medals and banned from competing solo, who join forces to qualify as a pairs team.

That flick will likely be Heder's last before diaper duty and is targeting a March release.
