Toronto Notebook: Thandie Newton & Hayden Christensen, All Pumped Up for Horror

Hayden Christensen George Pimentel/WireImage.com

Though they're stalking the red carpet for Toronto's Midnight Madness program with the creepy Vanishing on 7th Street, Thandie Newton and Hayden Christensen both have happy memories of Toronto. For Newton, its flashing back to 2004, when a scrappy little indie she was in—called Crash—began careening toward Oscar glory:

Bitch-Back! Jennifer Aniston, Action Superstar?

Jennifer Aniston INFdaily.com
More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
So, Jennifer Aniston. What's the deal with her? She is such a good actress, but she wastes her talents on awful romantic comedies. She was fab in The Good Girl, and even had a good patch with Marley & Me. Is she only getting offered rom-coms or is it a personal choice?
—Nicola

Dear Anistar:
It's hard to remember that Jen is actually somewhat of a comedic goddess. For her work on Friends, folks will still call her something of a female comedy symbol (as much as you want to deny it). And face it, do you really want to see her in an action movie à la Salt? No, I don't either. Now, a drama, that's somethin' different. Clearly, Jen needs to mine the real-life one she's led and put it all up on the big screen, already. Would be brilliant!

Dear Ted:
Now that Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen are done, is there any slight chance Rachel and Adam Brody will get back together? Probably not, but they were just so darn cute!

Review: Takers Almost a Good Little Heist Movie

Paul Walker, T.I., Michael Ealy, Hayden Christensen, Idris Elba, Takers Sony Picture

Review in a Hurry: A well-rounded cast of character actors (plus Paul Walker) tries to pull off a big robbery while obnoxious alcoholic cop Matt Dillon attempts to stop them. Very nearly a good little heist movie, Takers generates the occasional interesting plot twist but fails at the most basic level of creating characters worth caring about.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen Jump Out of Engagement

Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson Michael Loccisano/Getty Images

Rachel Bilson has already shared her last kiss with Hayden Christensen.

The Jumper costars are no longer engaged and have ended their three-year romance, Bilson's rep confirmed to E! News Monday.

Their last public splash as a couple was a trip to Christensen's native Vancouver for the Winter Olympics, where they were snapped at a hockey game looking, to put it mildly, less than thrilled to be there.

Bitch-Back! Could O.C. Love Be the Real Deal?

More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
I was wondering about Rachel Bilson. It appears she and Hayden Christensen aren't as happy as it seems. Is there any hope for a Rachel-Adam Brody reunion? Love them together!
—Kate

Dear TV Romance:
Sorry, babe, but I wouldn't count on it. Things are much more complicated when it comes to the love life of Ms Bilson. But hey, at least you've always got your O.C. DVDs, right? Weren't Seth and Summer just the cutest?

Dear Ted:
Is there any main Twilight castmember aside from Peter Facinelli who hasn't been involved in one of your Blind Vices?
—CN

Dear All-Inclusive:
Sure, Peter's got a few costars to chat with about living the Vice-free lifestyle. Maybe two max.

Dear Ted:
Is Buddy Rib-Toast Chris Pine? It makes so much sense if it is. I won't tell, I promise.
