Happy Sex Day!
New Line Cinema
Production on New Line's Sex and the City feature film begins today. So, let us all bow down to one of the greatest series of all time and the greatest couple ever: Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Now let us voice our thoughts on this movie, on what it should be. I'll go first.
- I hope that the movie finds Carrie and Mr. Big living together—but not married. They can't be married. They need to still be holding back a little bit, as they always have. Carrie needs to be dressing like she did in the early seasons, with the long hair and the bright colors; I was so over her tidy mousy look that sprung up when she went all Vogue on us. Get out the naked dress!
- Samantha (Kim Cattrall) needs to be torn between her young stud (Jason Lewis) and someone a little older. And she still needs to be wearing her primary-colored, do-me coordinated outfits.
- Charlotte (Kristin Davis) needs to be 100 percent as happy as she was when the series ended. Sniff, sniff. Somehow, I know she will have a conflict. Nooo!
- Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Steve (David Eigenberg) need to remain in their Brooklyn apartment. I love their home. Something about it was so right, so charming. Remember when Steve surprised Carrie and Miranda with cheesecake? That's what I'm talking about.
Now, you tell me your wishes. I know some of you are probably harboring hope that Aidan (John Corbett) will pop up, either in a cameo or in a conversation. No. No. No! Down with Aidan! Up with Big! And don't even talk to me about Aleksandr Petrovsky (Mikhail Baryshnikov). We're over him, yes? Yes.
