The Frankie & Alice star gushed about the Dame's bangin' bod at yesterday's Hollywood Reporter Power 100 Women in Entertainment gala.
Praising the 65-year-old Mirren as "hot as hell," Berry said, "I don't remember where I was, but I was somewhere, and somebody brought me a picture of Helen Mirren in a bikini on the beach."
"And I was like, there's no way. I studied it. I stared at it, flipped it over, upside down, looked through it. I was like, hold it a minute—how is that possible?!"
Speaking about the current state of Hollywood, Mirren said she's thrilled by the progress women have made in this town, but there's still work to be done. "I resent having witnessed in my life, the survival of some very mediocre male actors and the professional demise of some very brilliant female ones," said Mirren, who was honored with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award.
"With all respect to you many brilliant and successful women in this room, executives, writers, producers, directors, really not much has changed in the canon of Hollywood filmmaking that continues to worship at the altar of the 18- to 25-year-old male and his penis," she said.
Without missing a beat, she cracked, "Quite small, I always think."
Rock on, Dame Helen.
