Haley Joel Back Home
Haley Joel Osment has put in enough face time with the doctors.
The 18-year-old actor was released from Pasadena's Huntington Memorial Hospital Friday after being treated for a broken rib and arm lacerations he suffered in a Thursday morning car crash.
"Haley has been released from the hospital and is resting comfortably at home," his agent, Meredith Fine, said in a statement.
Osment, who's been somewhat off the radar since appearing alongside Robert Duvall and Michael Caine in 2003's Secondhand Lions, was driving to his Los Angeles-area pad at about 2:10 a.m. when his '95 Saturn jumped a curb, collided with a four-foot brick pillar and flipped over.
The L.A. County Sheriff's Department said yesterday that there was no reason to suspect that illegal substances had anything to do with Osment's accident, but no cause was suggested as to why or how he lost control of the car. The Sixth Sense star was wearing a seatbelt, Fine said, contrary to early reports stating he wasn't strapped in.
Osment, who has also recently been seen in child-star mode in those Walker, Texas Ranger clips that Conan O'Brien likes to play on Late Night, recently wrapped production on the high school basketball drama Home of the Giants.
