Goran Visnjic Feeling Supportive

Goran Visnjic has learned the hard way that there's no such thing as no strings attached.

The ER star has agreed to pay $1,800 a month in child support for the infant daughter of a Croatian woman who claims he is the father of her child.

Visnjic, 35, admitted in July that he had had a drunken one-night stand with 36-year-old Mirela Rupic that could have led to her pregnancy and said he was prepared to take a paternity test.

"It is not something that I'm proud of, of course," he said at the time while acknowledging he had been unfaithful to his wife of nine years, Ivana Vrdoljak. "But I am ready to accept all the consequences of my act."

The actor has since dropped his request for paternity testing and recognizes the eight-month-old baby girl as his own, his lawyer said at a hearing Tuesday.

In addition to shelling out monthly child support payments, Visnjic was granted visits with his daughter once a month, Rupic's lawyer said.

Visnjic is also the father of Tin, the infant boy he and Vrdoljak adopted together last spring.

He is currently in his ninth season playing Dr. Luka Kovac on ER, but has indicated he will be hanging up his stethoscope at the conclusion of this season.
