Gilligan Dumps Mary Ann for Mary Jane

The 63-year-old ex-Castaway was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of marijuana after a package containing pot was delivered to his house.
The Far Out Space Nut briefly appeared in court for arraingment and was let go on $1,000 bond.
Apparently, police were tipped off that the pot parcel was heading to Denver's home in Princeton, West Virginia, and they set up a sting. After an officer delivered the goods to Skipper's little buddy Wednesday night, a drug task force swooped in, confiscating half an ounce of marijuana from the package and another 10 grams from the house. Cops also recovered drug paraphernalia.
The erstwhile Gilligan faces up to six months in the can and a $1,000 fine for the misdemeanor offense. Police described him as "very apologetic over the incident and remorseful."
Bob Denver's scrape with the law is the third celeb-related drug bust this week, following the arrests of usual-suspect types The Rocker (Scott Weiland) and The Hot, Young Actor (Brad Renfro).
About the closest Denver previously has come to scandalous behavior was playing TV's first beatnik, Maynard G. Krebs, on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (1959-63).
He went on to play TV's biggest idiot for three, land-locked seasons on Gilligan's Island.
