Gilles Is Good for DWTS Ratings
ABC / Kelsey McNeal
Dancing With the Stars waltzed away with the ratings crown on an unremarkable Monday night, averaging 20.7 million viewers for Gilles Marini's latest clinic.
Elsewhere, per preliminary Nielsen estimates:
• At 8 p.m., an all-new Gossip Girl (2.4 million) was solid among women 18-34 who'd grown totally tired of reruns.
• At 9 p.m., One Tree Hill (2.4 million) was as big a draw among young women as Heroes (6.4 million), which, granted, was a much bigger draw among young men.
• The more Fox runs Bones (8.4 million), the fewer people tune in.
• DWTS-boosted Surviving Suburbia (10.9 million) topped Rules of Engagement (10.6 million) in the battle of 9:30 p.m. comedies. Rules, however, ruled in the 18-49 demo.
• 24 (10.3 million), Chuck (6 million) and Medium (7.4 million) ran about even, if a bit down, from last week.
• Nathan Fillion's Castle (8.4 million) rebounded from an off week by beefing up by 1 million viewers.
