Gary Coleman Cremated, Ashes Stored for Now

At least one of Gary Coleman's last wishes has been carried out in a somewhat timely manner.

The actor's remains were unceremoniously cremated Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at a Salt Lake City mortuary, according to attorney Robert Jeffs, who a judge appointed temporary guardian of Coleman's estate while his so-called loved ones fight among themselves.

"The proceeding was conducted in accordance with Mr. Coleman's desires as expressed in his will that no funeral service, wake or other ceremony memorialize his passing," Jeffs said in a statement.

Coleman's 2005 will—not to be confused with his 1999 will or 2007 codicil—stated that he did not want a funeral or public memorial after he was gone.

His ashes and property will be stored until the courts finalize who the executor of his estate truly is.

In 1999, Coleman named friend and former manager Dion Mial, but in 2005 he left everything to close friend Anna Gray, who once kept a room in his L.A. home, before he moved to Utah to be with future ex-wife Shannon Price.

Gray, meanwhile, is still working on plans for a private memorial to her fallen friend along with Coleman's Diff'rent Strokes costar Todd Bridges and author Kent Emmons.

"Absolutely under no circumstances will Shannon be invited," Emmons told E! News.
