Frightful Mug Shot of the Week: Smashing Pumpkins' D'arcy Wretzky!
D'arcy Wretzky is kinda looking like a rat in a cage.
The former Smashing Pumpkins bassist is locked up in her native Michigan and is scheduled to remain behind bars until Valentine's Day for, well, quite the reason.
Not DUI, mind you. There are no "smashed Pumpkin" jokes ahead...
Wretzky was taken into custody on a charge of...wait for it..."animals running at large."
The musician was cited in 2009 for the minor infraction after the horses she kept on her farm broke free and bolted through her small town. According to Berrien County Animal Control, she never paid her fine and then missed four court dates, prompting authorities to arrest her Tuesday morning. A judge sentenced her to six days in jail.
Wretzky, 42, quit the Smashing Pumpkins in 1999 and passed on their reunion in 2006, as did fellow founding member James Iha.
