Fred Savage Hitched
Former Wonder Years star Fred Savage has wed his childhood girlfriend and it's not Winnie Cooper.
Savage tied the knot last Saturday with long lost buddy Jennifer Stone, the actor's agent, Jeb Brandon, confirmed Wednesday. The two friends went separate ways in 1988 when the budding young thesp moved from suburban Chicago to Los Angeles to take on the role of Kevin Arnold.
Savage's stint as the introspective teen lasted from 1988 to '93. He would later try, unsuccessfully, to recapture that TV gold with the sitcom Working. More recently, Savage has turned his hand to directing for the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. He's also played smaller roles in features such as Austin Powers in Goldmember, Rules of Attraction and Welcome to Mooseport.
Meanwhile, it took 11 years before he reconnected with Stone, 31, at a birthday party. "We started talking and smooching, and we've been together ever since," the 28-year-old actor told People.
He and Stone, a commercial real-estate agent, swapped creative vows at Los Angeles' swanky eatery, L'Orangerie, where Savage promised "to always bring up a glass of water to her before we go to bed, and she promised to never let me dress myself."
