TRANSPORTER IS TOPS: The Transporter 2 raking in an estimated $20.3 million to set a new record for the four-day Labor Day holiday weekend.
KANYE RAPS BUSH: Kanye West declaring that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" live during Friday's benefit concert for hurricane relief. NBC edited out the remarks from the West Coast rebroadcast and said that West's "opinions in no way represent the views of the networks." The show featured performances from Harry Connick Jr., Faith Hill, Wynton Marsalis and Tim McGraw and appearances by Lindsay Lohan and Leonardo Dicaprio.
JERRY COMES THROUGH: Jerry Lewis raising more than $1 million for hurricane relief efforts during his annual Labor Day Telethon. The show also took in nearly $55 million for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
MACY HELPS OUT: Grammy winner Macy Gray helped New Orleans victims on Saturday by handing out clothes and toiletries in the Astrodome.
OPRAH ON LOCATION: Starting Tuesday, Oprah Winfrey will visit the region hit by Hurricane Katrina to speak with victims, help with relief efforts and tour the Superdome. "My pledge is to keep the stories of these people alive,? she says.
MORE HELP: John Grisham and his wife contributing $5 million to a relief fund they established this week to help Mississippians rebuild after Hurricane Katrina.
FROM THE MOUTHS OF STARS: E! Networks partnering with Hollywood stars including Eva Longoria, Paula Abdul, Pamela Anderson and many more for a PSA campaign benefitting the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. (E! Online is a division of E! Networks.)
JOINING THE BILL: The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Kanye West, Sheryl Crow, Paul McCartney, Kelly Clarkson, Brian Wilson, Melissa Etheridge and Trent Reznor are the latest to sign on to perform next Saturday at MTV's ReAct Now to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
LIVE FROM BELLAGIO: Former Saturday Night Live star Kevin Nealon, 51, married actress Susan Yeagley, 33, in the Italian lakeside town of Bellagio on Saturday, People reports.
NO GWYNETH: Gwyneth Paltrow missing the Venice Film Festival to promote her latest film, Proof, after her plane encountered "technical problems" and was forced to turn back to New York.
