OBITUARY: Donald Mills, last surviving member of The Mills Brothers, the 1930s creative pop group that broke racial barriers and sold over 50 million records, died Saturday in Los Angeles. He was 84.
HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN: Thursday's edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire drew more 5.5 million more viewers in the 9-9:30 p.m. time slot than NBC's Frasier--the first time in 16 years ABC's beaten the Peacock there.
FLASHBACK: The last time ABC bested NBC in that key Thursday time period it was February 24, 1983, and Too Close for Comfort was topping Gimme a Break.
HOSPITALIZED: R&B diva Brandy, 20, in the hospital being treated for dehydration after taking ill Thursday. She's expected to be released soon.
