JUNGLE BEAT: Madagascar jumped to number one in its second week as overall box office was down yet again from last year. Revenge of the Sith dropped to third place behind Longest Yard, and Russell Crowe's boxing tale Cinderella Man only had enough punch for a fourth place opening.
SWEET! Napoleon Dynamite scoring Best Movie at the MTV Movie Awards Saturday, one of three total awards. Mean Girls also picked up three trophies, including Best Female Performance for Lindsay Lohan. Leonardo DiCaprio won Best Male Performance for The Aviator, and Tom Cruise received the inaugural Generation Award for his body of work.ABOUT TIME: Rod Stewart finally filing for divorce this week from model Rachel Hunter. The two had been separated since 1999. Stewart needs to finalize his split with Hunter before he can marry model Peggy Lancashire, who's pregnant with Stewart's child.
ARRESTING NEW ARRIVAL: Comedian-magician Penn Jillette and his wife had a baby girl on Friday. The baby?s name is, and we're not making this up, Moxie CrimeFighter.
WAR STILL ON: Paramount denying widespread reports that the Tokyo premiere of War of the Worlds was canceled because of concerns about security for star Tom Cruise and fears of bootleg recording. The studio says the venue has been changed but the screening is still scheduled.
BACK IN REHAB: Us Weekly reporting Kelly Osbourne has checked into a Pasadena, California-based drug treatment center. The 20-year-old previously spent time in rehab last year for an addiction to prescription painkillers. Osbourne's rep told Us the singer will be back in action "in a few weeks."
HE'S BACK, BITCH! Dave Chappelle performing surprise standup sets at two Los Angeles comedy clubs Wednesday night, telling audiences he had just landed at the airport and felt like performing.
GET YOUR HOT BOOKS HERE: British police arresting two men on suspicion they tried to sell stolen copies of the forthcoming Harry Potter tome, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The book is set for official release July 16.
PUTTING ON THE RITZ: Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson filing a lawsuit against the Naples, Florida, Ritz-Carlton hotel, its security director and three sheriff's deputies for causing the rocker "severe discomfort and pain" during a New Year's Eve 2003 dust-up resulting in Lifeson's arrest.

Clinton now owns the masters to Hardcore Jollies, One Nation Under a Groove, Uncle Jam Wants You and The Electric Spanking of War Babies after years of fighting for sole rights to the classic recordings.

AUF WIEDERSEHEN: Leon Askin, who played General Burkhalter in Hogan's Heroes, died this week in Austria. He was 97.
