BURN, BABY, BURN: Michael Moore's incendiary Fahrenheit 9/11 becoming the first documentary to win the weekend box office, raking in $23.9 million between Friday and Sunday. The film averaged more than $27,000 per its 868 theaters.

MORE MOORE: In just one weekend, Fahrenheit 9/11 has eclipsed Moore's Bowling for Columbine as the highest-grossing documentary of all time.

OOPS! SHE DID IT AGAIN! Six months after her quickie Vegas marriage and annulment, Britney Spears is betrothed to dancer beau Kevin Federline, the singer's reps confirmed Friday.

IS JUSTIN COMING? Star magazine reports Spears is aiming for a November wedding with 200 guests in either Los Angeles or her native Louisiana.

HAPPY WISHES? Britney's beau Kevin reportedly receiving death threats from a stalker, according to Extra. The nobody now has a security detail.

UP IN FLAMES: Part of the Australian set of Paris Hilton's new movie, House of Wax, burned down Saturday night when a controlled blaze exploded. Hilton wasn't on the set, having already finished shooting her scenes. No one was injured but the damage was estimated at $10 million and production will be delayed.

MERDE! Gerard Depardieu suffering minor injuries in a scooter crash Monday in Paris. A spokesperson for the actor said the accident was "not serious." He's been involved in two prior crashes.

THEY DO: Oscar winner Mira Sorvino, 36, marrying actor Christopher Backus, 22, in a private ceremony on June 11, Sorvino's publicist announced Monday. It's the first marriage for both.

CONSOLATION PRIZE: American Idol runner-up Diana DeGarmo to release her first single, "Dreams," on Tuesday. DeGarmo is negotiating a record deal with RCA, which hopes to release her debut album by year's end.

OUT OF LUCK? Local officials order MTV's Viva La Bam creator Brandon C. "Bam" Margera to cease and desist from taping the stunt show on his Pennsylvania estate. He and MTV plan to appeal the ruling.

BUMMER: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen losing out on a three-bedroom condo in lower Manhattan, per the New York Post, because the owner worried the twins wouldn't make it past the building's rigid co-op board.

MORE ON MARY-KATE: In an interview Monday with People, Ashley says Mary-Kate has been struggling with her eating disorder "for quite awhile." "She's hanging in there. She is taking the time she needs for herself right now."

MAKING MAGIC: Production starting today on the fourth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, starring original cast members Daniel Racliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, with Ralph Fiennes joining as Voldemort.

SOULFUL: Soul Food stars Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Parker are engaged. Kodjoe popped the question June 20 in his hometown of Freiburg, Germany. The couple, who will appear in the UPN sitcom Second Time Around, plan to swap vows in spring 2005.

THEY'VE GOT HIS BACK: Infinity Broadcasting claiming it will back Howard Stern on indecency charges during a panel discussion on the state of the Industry at the Radio & Records convention in Los Angeles Friday.

CONCERT TRACKS: Jewel the first major-label artist to participate in Clear Channel's Instant Live program, which aims to sell recordings of concerts immediately after the show ends. KISS, Peter Frampton and the Cowboy Junkies have also been booked.

FOR A GOOD CAUSE: Keith Richards joining Return to Sin City, a tribute concert to late country-rock pioneer Gram Parsons next month in Los Angeles with proceeds benefitting the Musicians' Assistance Program.

OLD DOG, NEW TRICKS: Paul McCartney capping a day of music and rain at England's Glastonbury music festival Saturday. He took the stage to cheers from 100,000 damp but enthusiastic fans.

REAL WORLD: MTV taping a reality drama, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, that pries into the lives of seven California teens. The series will launch Sept. 14.

FLASHBACK: Former castmembers of The Nanny reuniting at Fran Drescher's Malibu estate on June 16 to tape The Nanny Reunion: A Nosh to Remember!, a Lifetime special slated to air Oct. 11, reports TV Guide.

DON'T MESS WITH HER: Boxing manager Jackie Kallen, the inspiration for the Meg Ryan flick Against the Ropes, joining NBC's The Contender as den mother to 16 aspiring amateur pugilists, per the Hollywood Reporter.

ANOTHER CONTENDER: Spike TV looking for its own champ with a series about martial-arts athletes competing in the Ultimate Fighter, to air next January.

EVERYBODY'S DOING IT: ABC spinning off its upcoming reality series Wife Swap (Sept. 29) into Husband Swap and Boss Swap.

IN ON THE ACT: Fox getting into the mommy-swapping business with its own series, Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy, expected to bow later this summer.

CASTING COUP: Al Pacino joining Matthew McConaughey and Rene Russo on the cast of Morgan Creek's Two for the Money, due to start shooting in August in Vancouver.

SHOWCASE SHOWDOWN: Bob Barker being inducted into the Academy of Television and Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame on Saturday. The 80-year-old has been hosting The Price Is Right for more than 30 years. Also honored were Katie Couric and Dan Rather.
