KELLY'S KID: Regis sidekick Kelly Ripa called into Live Monday to annouce she'd given birth to a baby girl, Lola Grace Consuelos, in New York over the weekend. Ripa and her husband, soap star Mark Consuelos, also have a three-year-old son.

A WINNER: A 26-year-old man from Frankfurt was the "winner" of a contest sponored by a German Website. In exchange for having sex with one of the site's columnists, the winner gets a ticket to a sold-out Madonna show.

GIRL POWER: Angelina Jolie's big breasted, butt-kicking archeologist flick, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, grabbed $47.7 million at the box office--a record for a movie based on a video game.

LINK-ING UP: Daily Variety reporting that NBC is going to launch a syndicated daytime version of its Weakest Link. The show will launch in New York in January.

SHINY HAPPY PERSON: R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck appearing in a British court Monday over an air-rage incident aboard a British Airways flight from Seattle to London last April. The musician is charged with drunkenness, disobeying the captain, assaulting the aircrew, threatening behavior and criminal damage. He must appear again on July 31.

SICK BAY: Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro broke his wrist last week while shooting a scene for his upcoming flick, The Hunted. The studio says Del Toro only had five scenes left to film, which will be completed once he recovers.

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE: Rock 'n' roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis hospitalized with a recurring bout of pneumonia this weekend in Memphis, Tennessee. The 65-year-old musician is said to be recovering and in good spirits.

DON'T CALL HER MISS CONGENIALITY: Sandra Bullock filing a lawsuit against the builder of her home in Lake Austin, Texas, claiming he changed the plans without letting her know. She wants her $330,000 investment back, plus additional damages and legal fees.

TRAGEDY: A four-year-old boy drowned during a birthday party at Tommy Lee's Malibu home. The boy's father, a Hollywood producer, called the incident "inexcusable."

OPRAH'S PLACE: Oprah Winfrey agreeing to buy a mansion near Santa Barbara for $50 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. The 42-acre estate includes a 23,000 square-foot Georgian-style house, a tennis court, swimming pool, barn, orchard, two ponds and a lake.

BABY SLOWHAND: Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton's 25-year-old girlfriend, Melia McEnery, giving birth Wednesday to a baby girl. Julie Rose weighed in at 7 pounds, 1 ounce, according to the New York Post.

IN THE CANNES: Miramax acquiring U.S. and Canadian distribution rights to The Son's Room, Italian director Nanni Moretti's intense family drama which won the Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

HIGHER GROUND: Stevie Wonder making a surprise appearance at his son's high school graduation in Palmdale, California, last week, treating a stunned audience to an a cappella song and giving words of encouragement to departing seniors.

TALK-SHOW QUEEN? Sandra Bernhard launching a talk show this summer on the A&E. The Sandra Bernhard Experience will be a one-on-one affair with artists and personalities sans studio audience.

MRS. AMERICA: Miss America Angela Perez Baranquio accepting an on-stage marriage proposal from her boyfriend during a hula performance at the 2001 Miss Hawaii Pageant in Waikiki.
