SICK BAY: Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro broke his wrist Thursday while shooting a scene for his upcoming flick, The Hunted. The studio says Del Toro only had five scenes left to film, which will be completed once he recovers.
DON'T CALL HER MISS CONGENIALITY: Sandra Bullock filing a lawsuit against the builder of her home in Lake Austin, Texas, claiming he changed the plans without letting her know. She wants her $330,000 investment back, plus additional damages and legal fees.
TRAGEDY: A four-year-old boy drowned during a birthday party at Tommy Lee's Malibu home. Authorities would not release the child's identity, only saying the boy wasn't Lee's son.
SLAM DUNK: The final game between the repeating champs Los Angeles Lakers and the scrappy Philadelphia 76ers gave NBC its best NBA Finals ratings since Michael Jordan hung up his sneaks. According to overnight ratings, the game drew a 13.5 rating and 24 share.
ALL THE QUEEN'S MEN: Funnyman Dudley Moore, horror icon Christopher Lee and Oscar-winning English Patient director Anthony Minghella among those receiving special honors Saturday from Queen Elizabeth. The three have been named Commanders of the British Empire.
NOT BOOTED: A judge refusing to dismiss a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by CBS against Fox claiming the network's Boot Camp rips off CBS's Survivor. Fox wanted the suit tossed because it says Boot Camp, unlike Survivor, is not staged.
MORE SONY PHONINESS: Sony's Columbia Pictures acknowledging that its own marketing department executives starred in nationally televised movie ads pretending to be fans raving about the studio's The Patriot.
DISTURBING BEHAVIOR: Meanwhile, Sony facing a lawsuit filed by two Florida parents claiming the studio falsely marketed its The Animal to kids and failed to warn moviegoers about scenes alluding to bestiality.
HE NEEDS TO KNOW: A New York Family Court judge ordering Marc Anthony to appear in court to say if he'll pay more money to support the daughter he had with former girlfriend Debbie Rosado. The salsa king's attorney said he told Anthony not to attend because it would cause a "stir."
RERUN: David Hasselhoff telling Entertainment Weekly that he plans to produce an updated version of Knight Rider in which his character, Michael Knight, comes out of retirement, hires a couple of kids and fires up KITT to battle the baddies.
THEY WRITE THE SONGS... Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Eric Clapton, Paul Williams and Diane Warren inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame Thursday in New York. Billy Joel and Dionne Warwick were among those also receiving awards from the organization.
