SOAKING IT IN: Ocean's Twelve came ashore as the top movie with an estimated $40.8 million over the weekend, more than double Blade: Trinity, which reaped $16.1 million. Also making a big splash was The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, which averaged $57,000 per screen at just two sites.

HE WILL SURVIVE: Highway worker Chris Daugherty of Ohio winning Survivor: Vanuatu over Twila Tanner in a 5-2 final vote.

BOTTOM'S UP: The wine-loving indie drama Sideways named Best Picture Saturday by the Los Angeles Film Critics Associaiton. Liam Neeson was awarded Best Actor for the biopic Kinsey and Imelda Staunton picked up Best Actress for the abortion drama Vera Drake.

AND UP AGAIN: Sideways also receiving Best Picture props from the New York Film Critics Online, while Staunton was named Best Actress. Jamie Foxx was named Best Actor for Ray.

A BAD TOUCH? Michael Jackson?s fingerprints and those of the boy accusing him of child molestation were found on pornographic magazines seized from Neverland Ranch, the Santa Barbara News-Press reports.

SPLITSVILLE: Ellen DeGeneres has separated from her girlfriend, photographer-director Alexandra Hedison, according to People magazine.

A KEY SUBSTITUTION: MTV News reports that Alicia Keys will cohost Live With Regis and Kelly Dec. 22 while Kelly Ripa is on vacation.

SIGNING OFF: Bill Moyers will resign from his weekly PBS newsmagazine, Now, this week, and will retire from television journalism.
