First Listen: Taylor Swift Takes the High Road With "Mean"
Consider this Taylor Swift's response to all the haters out there.
"When you do what I do, which is you put yourself out there for a lot of people to say whatever they want...there's a million different opinions," Swift says in an exclusive interview with E! News, part of an ongoing series leading up to the Oct. 25 release of her third studio album, Speak Now.
"I get that, no matter what, you're going to be criticized for something," says the 20-year-old. "But I also get that there are different kinds of ways to criticize someone. There's constructive criticism, there's professional criticism—and then there's just being mean. And there's a line that you cross when you just start to attack everything about a person."
Hear Taylor put it all into perspective in the clip above, which includes a sneak preview of "Mean," the sixth track off the new album.
