She may judge potential singing superstars on American Idol every week, but never forget that Jennifer Lopez is one herself.

She reminded the world of that this morning, when she phoned up her colleague and ours, Ryan Seacrest, and premiered her new single, "Dance Again."

Give it a listen…

Likely already destined to hit the top of the charts, the just-released song—once again featuring J.Lo's "On the Floor" collaborator Pitbull and produced, also yet again, by RedOne—seemingly wasted no time in locking down its No. 1 fan: Lopez herself.

"First of all, I love it," Lopez told Seacrest on his KIIS-FM show, saying she particularly enjoyed reuniting with her musical cohorts.

"We had a great chemistry the last time, and it was like, 'We're going to have to do something again.' And this was the perfect song. I love the message of the song—that when something bad happens, your life is not over. You have to get up. You're gonna live. You're gonna be OK. You're gonna dance again."

And don't think for a minute that the meaning behind the song was lost on Lopez, who's been through some personal travails of her own this past year.

"I think when it came to me, it was the perfect moment," she said. "I definitely related to that. I think it's a good thing to put it out there right now, because everybody goes through tough moments. Everybody goes through hard times, and I am no stranger to that myself...Actually, we rewrote some of the lyrics to fit into that message."

Which ones, exactly? You'll have to suss that out for yourself because J.Lo's not telling!

"You listen and you decide!" she laughed. OK music fans, you have your orders.
