Final Destination's Ryan Merriman Driven to Jail on DUI Charge

Ryan Merriman's final destination over the weekend turned out to be a jail cell.
The Final Destination 3 star was arrested Sunday night at approximately 11:30 p.m. on a drunken driving charge, E! News has confirmed.
We've got a bad feeling about this. Here's what happened:

Kathy Lowe, spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Police Department, tells E! the 28-year-old thesp was stopped for a routine traffic violation by a patrol officer who witnessed him going over the limit line at a red light (OK, it's not quite a roller-coaster ride).
"He was stopped for the traffic violation and officers observed symptoms that he had been drinking and driving," Lowe said. "They performed a field sobriety test which he then failed."
No word whether a Breathalyzer was administered.

Merriman was booked at a nearby police station on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, though she noted arresting officers believed it was for booze.
It's not known if the actor has posted bail, which was set at $2,500.
Merriman's other credits include 1999's The Deep End of the Ocean, 2002's Halloween: Resurrection and 2005's The Ring Two.
