Expectant Hip-Hop Couple Nas and Kelis Call It Quits

Kelis isn't whipping up any more milkshakes for Nas.
The pregnant R&B songstress is looking to divorce her hip-hop star hubby of more than four years, E! News confirmed Thursday.
"I can confirm that she has filed for divorce," said a rep for Kelis, whose full name is Kelis Rogers-Jones. "We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time."
She and Nas (full name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones) tied the knot Jan. 8, 2005, in Atlanta after a two-year engagement. The pair are expecting their first child together—a son—this summer. Nas has a teenage daughter from a previous relationship.
Kelis' divorce petition, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, was filed this afternoon. She is asking for spousal and child support, as well as joint custody of their baby.
The couple met at a 2002 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty hosted by Sean "Diddy" Combs.
"I wasn't going to go, but I'm glad I did," Nas told Vibe the following year. "Then at the afterparty, I met my girl."
