Exes Mark the Soft Spot at Diaz Funeral

Cameron Diaz's exes were out in full force over the weekend, lending a shoulder (or three) in support of the grieving actress.

E! News has confirmed that Justin Timberlake, John Mayer and Kelly Slater were among the 80 mourners at a Sunday memorial held for Diaz's father, Emilio, who died last Tuesday at age 58 due to complications from pneumonia.

The trio arrived separately to the service, which began around 1:30 p.m., with Timberlake paying his respects for roughly two hours before leaving in a black limo. Mayer was present for a similar amount of time, leaving when the rest of the crowd began to disperse around 4 p.m.

The laid-back, life-celebrating memorial was held at Mahe, a sushi restaurant in Seal Beach, Calif.

The 35-year-old actress, flanked by her famous exes and other friends and family members, delivered an emotional tribute to her father.

Eschewing the typical funerial format, attendees paid tribute to the fun-loving Diaz patriarch by donning Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses and leis and delivering raucous toasts to his memory.

Even the setting fit the spirit: A white tent erected in the back of the restaurant with a taco truck and local pizza joint providing the food.

In lieu of flowers for the service, the Diaz family has requested that donations instead be made to the Surfrider Foundation or Reef Check, organizations which protect and rehabilitate oceans and beaches around the world.
