Ex-Partner Sues Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin is getting called into court by a jilted woman. And we're not talking about Kim Basinger.

The actor has been sued by his former producing partner, Corrinne Mann, over a TV-movie deal gone bad.

Mann, who launched her lawsuit Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims Baldwin owes her half the $250,000 in profits he made from a TNT movie that ran on the cable net earlier this year.

The lawsuit asserts that Baldwin and Mann joined together in 1995 to form El Dorado Pictures, a production company that would allow the duo to "develop, produce and exploit film, television and other entertainment properties together."

According to the suit, Mann and Baldwin agreed on a 50-50 split of all producers fees on any project they collaborated on, as well as any royalties earned by El Dorado-based projects.

However, the two severed ties in 1998, with Mann founding Corrinne Mann Productions in 1999. But, she claims she is still entitled to money from TNT's Second Nature, which, she says, the two developed in tandem under the El Dorado banner before she split.

Second Nature aired on TNT on June 22. A thriller in the vein of The Bourne Identity, the film starred Baldwin as Paul Kane, a man who survives a plane crash in which his family is supposedly killed, undergoes plastic surgery and is rehabilitated to find he's actually a secret agent whose prior mission was to hunt down and assassinate a political leader. When he fails to complete his assignment, yes, the hunter becomes the hunted.

Mann wants Baldwin to cough up half his producer's fee, roughly $125,000, as well as unspecified punitive damages and legal fees.

A rep for Baldwin at the Creative Artists Agency did not return phone calls seeking comment. Lawyers for Mann were also unavailable.

The onetime Mr. Basinger has been a Hollywood fixture since the 1980s, with a résumé that includes Beetlejuice, Working Girl, The Hunt for Red October, Glengarry Glen Ross and Pearl Harbor.

Baldwin, 45, will be seen on the big screen this November in the live-action version of The Cat and the Hat, starring Mike Myers. Baldwin recently costarred William H. Macy in The Cooler, an indie romantic drama that premiered at Sundance and is slated to hit theaters this fall. Baldwin is also in contention for an Emmy for playing Defense Secretary Robert MacNamara in HBO's acclaimed Vietnam War drama Path to War.

Next up is a role in Martin Scorsese's Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
