Eva Ready for Housewives Chores

Her honeymoon over, Eva Longoria is ready to be a housewife once again.

The newly minted Mrs. Tony Parker returned to the set of Desperate Housewives Monday for the first time since her international nuptials earlier this month.

The still-blushing bride arrived on the Universal Studios lot bright and early to begin the grind of the series' fourth season, something Longoria's rep, Liza Anderson, says came as a welcome reprieve to the past three weeks of pre- and post-wedding festivities.

"It was a great wedding, but it was time to get back to Desperate Housewives," Anderson said. "I got a call from her this morning and she was already at work. She sounded so great, really upbeat. She's completely content."

As it is, the 32-year-old newlywed, who tied the knot with 25-year-old San Antonio Spur all-star point guard Parker in a blow-out ceremony in Paris on July 7, returned to Los Angeles on Sunday from a low-key, weeklong honeymoon on the Caribbean Island of Turks and Caicos.

"It was just her and Tony," Anderson said. "They had a private villa. She's completely relaxed and rejuvenated. She had a full week alone with Tony to decompress."

"It was the perfect balance to gear up for season four. So she's really excited. She wasn't dreading work at all."

While the new season will no doubt hold its share of twists and turns for Longoria's small-screen alter ego Gabrielle Solis, one thing that won't change is the actress' name in the credits—at least, not for now.

"It will say Longoria for a while, but I love the tradition of taking the name parker," the actress told OK! "Legally everything is changed."

And while plot lines for the forthcoming season will no doubt be kept under tight wraps, fans can rule out at least one possible scenario: a bun in the oven for Longoria's character.

During a speech given at the Parisian nuptials, Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry banned the couple from welcoming too quickly a visit from the stork, telling guests that, however happy an occasion that may be, it's simply not in the best interest of the script.

"We're fine with that," Longoria told OK! "We want to spend time with each other, even though we want kids very much."

As it is, the newly-hitched thesp was reunited with several of her wedding guests Monday, as most of her costars made the voyage to France earlier this month. Ricardo Chivara, who plays Longoria's on-screen hubby Carlos, and Marcia Cross, who plays Bree, however, were the notable exceptions—the former due to a working engagement in Texas and the latter due to her inability to travel with newborn twins.

However, per Chivara, Longoria wasted no time in filling her MIA friends in on the details of her big day.

"She seems happy," he told People, which first reported Longoria's presence back on the set. "Tony showed up today and I talked to him and got the lowdown from him as well. I think they're finally just glad for it to be over, to be honest."
