Ennesima tragedia colpisce i Lynyrd Skynyrd
Un’altra disgrazia ha colpito la band dei Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Ean Evans, il bassista che nel 2001 si era unito al gruppo in seguito alla morte del membro fondatore Leon Wilkeson, è venuto a mancare dopo aver perso la propria battaglia contro il cancro.
Dopo essere entrato a far parte della Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, il musicista del Mississippi l’anno scorso era andato in tournée con i Lynyrd Skynyrd, per poi scoprire di avere un tumore. Era stato allora che Johnny Van Zant, il leader del gruppo, aveva chiesto ai fan di pregare per Evans.
La morte del bassista segue quella del tastierista Billy Powell, deceduto a gennaio per un apparente attacco di cuore.
La band sembra essere abituata alle tragedie: tre suoi importanti membri, fra cui il cantante Ronnie Van Zant, avevano perso la vita in un terribile incidente aereo. Ma i Lynyrd Skynyrd non si perdono d’animo e hanno intenzione di esibirsi in un tour estivo insieme a Kid Rock.
