Emma Stone Gets Worked Up in The Help

If this trailer for The Help is any indication, Emma Stone's days of teen angst flicks are long behind her.

Her new film, which takes place in 1960s Mississippi, has her putting on her best Southern drawl as a journalist named Skeeter. She's setting out to expose the rampant racism in her hometown, much to the chagrin of one resident Stepford wife, played fantastically by Bryce Dallas Howard.

"You said to write about what disturbs me, particularly if it bothers no one else?" Stone bravely declares to her editor. "I'd like to write something from the point of view of the help."

The Help is based off a 2009 novel of the same name, and chronicles Skeeter's struggle to tell the stories of the African-American maids in her community and the unlikely friendships she forms as a result of her efforts. Check out the clip to see what all the buzz is about!
