But why exactly is the actress, who had been enrolled as a freshman at Sarah Lawrence College, postponing her studies?
Hmm, might her long-distance relationship with Chord Overstreet have something to do with it?
After all, the Glee guy does reside in L.A. and Emma's school is in New York. Not to mention, they have been packing on the PDA, so it certainly looks as if things are getting pretty serious between these two.
"The Chord stuff is rumor mill," a rep for the 20-year-old starlet tells E! News while confirming that "Yes, Emma has deferred her college experience."
As for the real reason why Emma is putting aside her books, which was first reported by Life & Style, the rep insists it is "solely due to work."
"She will start a new film (soon to be announced) at the end of January and Spring Breakers (opposite James Franco, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens) in early March."
