Eli Roth's Thanksgiving: T-Shirts, Yes. An Actual Movie, Not Yet
Michael Panckow/ZumaPress.com
The trailer for Thanksgiving, Eli Roth's imaginary horror movie, rocked my world when it premiered as part of Grindhouse this summer. The faux preview promised a throwback, '70s-style slasher flick set in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on the fourth Thursday in November, with pretty much every shot being hilarious—and disturbing. ("This year, there will be no leftovers.")
So, imagine my glee when Eli put out a MySpace bulletin that it is now possible to purchase Thanksgiving merchandise that advertises this fantastic, bloody treat. This is like that scene in Spaceballs where they have Spaceballs—the lunch box...Spaceballs—the breakfast cereal...Now, all we need is Thanksgiving—the movie. Patience, people. I bet it's gonna happen.
