Don't Ground Miley Cyrus, She's Awesome

Is it weird that we're all grown-ups but we still want to hang out wtih Miley Cyrus?
She so completely won us over this morning on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show (get the full audio), where she and her dad spoke with him while in Chicago to do Oprah). Not only is she wide open about her life and mundane things like being grounded (as she is at the moment), but she tells it in such an entertaining way:
After a sold-out Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert, she put on a Juicy suit that wasn't long enough to cover her belly, which immediately made her mother ask her to change it. "And I was like, 'Mom, that's the way it's supposed to fit, I don't want to look like I'm in a muumuu.' "
Okay, the kid is heading up the hottest tour in the country (with the Jonas Brothers), but superstardom has no pull with mom. Mama Cyrus locked Miley in her room, made her miss a meet-and-greet and kept her there until she lost her 'tude and threatened to take her phone away. But being 14, Miley couldn't let it go...
"I said, 'Fine, take my phone, who am I going to talk to anyway?' And now I don't have a phone anymore. She took my phone, I haven't got it back for two days, but she says she's going to turn it off if my attitude proceeds [sic]."
This is bringing back so many memories right now.
Of Miley's rumored relationship with Nick Jonas, Ryan took the lead, peppering Miley with Q's. Is she in love with Nick? "No." Is he in love with her? "Yes." Has she made out with Nick? "No." Will she make out with him? "Yes." Has he given her jewelry? Yes...as a friend, though."
As Ryan put it, "This is my favorite conversation ever." Doesn't it sound great to be 14 again?
Now, if only Mr. Seacrest would hook us up with Hannah Montana tickets…
