Donald & Michael's Vegas Venture?
Donald Trump may be looking to hire his most dubious apprentice yet: Michael Jackson.
The real-estate mogul has expressed interest in signing the embattled entertainer to a resident performing gig at the New Frontier Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Us Weekly reports.
Trump's Vegas associates Phil Ruffin and Jack Wishna have reportedly been dangling the gig under Jackson's nose in the hopes of enticing the popster to go where the likes of Celine Dion and Elton John have gone before.
Trump and Ruffin are partners in the new Trump International Tower & Casino which is currently being erected behind the New Frontier.
The businessmen are apparently willing to take the gamble that Jackson will be able to sort through some low profile legal issues he's currently dealing with in Santa Maria, California.
Trump, never one to underestimate himself, seemed to feel confident that he could pull off bringing the Gloved One to Vegas and that the masses would follow.
"Everything I do is the best, and everything Phil Ruffin does is the best, and this would be no exception," Trump told Us Weekly.
However, the mogul wasn't 100 percent sold on the idea of going into business with Jackson.
"It's an interesting idea, but I don't think he'd show up half the time," Trump told The Insider on Tursday.
"I can't imagine what the insurance policy would be like."
If the deal should go through, Jackson's projected ticket sales would likely exceed the $80 million grossed in 2004 by Dion's show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, according to Trump's cronies. And that would be welcome news to Jackson, who is said to be teetering on the brink of financial collapse.
However, Wishna told Us Weekly that "moral clauses" would be included in Jackson's contract--meaning that the whole deal would presumably be out the window should the Moonwalker be convicted of any unseemly behavior.
Jackson has reportedly expressed interest in a similar Vegas arrangement in the past. In brighter days, the popster was a frequent visitor to Sin City, where his parents and sister LaToya reside.
Luring Jackson to Vegas hasn't been Trump's only outreach of late. Earlier this month, the billionaire made advances on the struggling Miss America Pageant, which was dumped by ABC due to failing ratings.

"I've talked to them, but I have not made an offer," Trump said, per the Associated Press. "It's tough: The networks don't want to put it on, and I'd like to do whatever I can to help them out."
Trump, who is already an owner in both the Miss Universe and the Miss USA pageants, said if he acquired Miss America, he would keep it in Atlantic City but would add elements to make it more watchable while still maintaining the contest's "integrity."
Miss America CEO Art McMaster didn't spill many beans on how pageant insiders felt about the possibility of being bought out by the Donald.
"We are flattered that Donald Trump called on the Miss America Organization, the longest-running pageant in history," Art McMaster said in a statement. "We are currently exploring all of our opportunities."
Trump can currently be seen bossing his underlings around on season three of The Apprentice, which pits "book smart" contestants who have college degrees or higher, against "street smart" types who acquired their business savvy without a degree.
Having proved his reality television mettle, Trump is now slated to executive produce an Apprentice spinoff for newly released fellow billionaire Martha Stewart.
