Does Aaron Carter Want to Dance?

Is Aaron Carter putting on his dancing shoes?

I hear the 19-year-old pop singer and former E! reality star is in talks to join the next season of Dancing with the Stars. A source tells me that Carter is very close to finalizing the deal with ABC.

Carter’s rep did not return phone calls and emails. A rep for the show cited ABC policy not to comment on Dancing casting.

A new Dancing is scheduled to start in September. Contestants are given about four weeks of rehearsals with their professional dance partners before the season premiere.

As I reported last week, Jennie Garth is also in talks to appear in the new season, following in the footsteps of her former 90210 costar Ian Ziering.
