The Cradle 2 the Grave star was arrested for reckless driving Tuesday at his Phoenix home after three cameras on the Loop 101 freeway in Scottsdale caught him speeding in January, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Per authorities, DMX's bright yellow 1966 Chevy Nova—which has a large "DMX" decal on the windshield—was clocked going between 100 and 114 miles per hour around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 21.
The rapper-actor, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was booked on suspicion of criminal speeding, public endangerment, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license. He was released later the same day after posting bond.
"Mr. Simmons wasn't signaled out because of his notoriety; we have made several arrests in the last few months of those people who flagrantly violate the speed limit and therefore endanger the lives of everyone else on the road," Roger Vanderpool, director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said in a statement.
An attorney for DMX told reporters he had no comment on the charges.
