Diane Lane didn't go to rehab or anything like that. She just drove a stolen car across state lines.
"See, to me, that's the worst crime ever," quipped automobile enthusiast Jay Leno, who wanted to know if Lane ever got into the kind of trouble young Hollywood seems to be plagued with these days.
"Oh, I had my share," the Secretariat star recalled. "I think it's really an unfair time to be in the industry and try to grow up in front of the cameras...I don't know what to say.
"Aside from my grand theft larceny, I was a good kid!" she continued, laughing. "What, you don't think of me when you think of grand theft auto?"
Er, no we didn't, but she was in The Outsiders, so perhaps she had to do a little character research back in the day.
