Dennis Rodman: Back in the Ring

Wondering how Dennis Rodman is going to spend his summer vacation? You're in luck.

The bad boy is getting back in the ring as a pro wrestler.

Now, if you're wondering what Dennis Rodman is taking a vacation from, you're out of luck. We have no idea.

Other than getting sued (including two recent civil-court suits) and making up and breaking up (and making up and breaking up) with still-lawfully wedded wife Carmen Electra, the one called The Worm hasn't exactly been punching a time card of late--not since being canned in April from his day job as a hoops star with the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers.

But since Dennis' career portfolio is about as varied as his hair color(s), it was just a matter of time before he found another gig.

Which brings us back to wrestling.

Starting July 5, Rodman will make a series of five summertime appearances on TNT's weekly WCW Monday Nitro Live. His gig with Ted Turner's World Championship Wrestling league is to be capped off August 14 in a pay-per-view blowout in South Dakota.

Rodman previously put in mat time in 1997 in a tag-team match featuring the likes of Hulk Hogan and fellow basketball player Karl Malone.

The Worm, meanwhile, won't be the only celeb moonlighting as a caped crusader. The WCW also announced Monday the signing of rapper/producer Master P. The music star, who last year tried his hand at pro basketball, has inked a one-year deal with the league. No word on when he'll turn up on the tube.
