Demi Lovato reportedly called it quits with rumored flame Wilmer Valderrama. But has she now broken up with Twitter, too?

The "Skyscraper" pop star took to her Twitter feed over the weekend to announce that she was pulling the plug on it—at least for now. And you can bet that her 5.6 million followers are none too happy about her self-imposed silence.

So why'd she decide to ditch Twitter?

On Jan. 21, the pop star wrote, "Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway... BYE!"

Earlier that day, she tweeted, "Can't please everyone."

Lovato's no stranger to Twitter rants. The former Disney star, who earned legions of admirers for publicly discussing her own personal struggles, famously trashed Disney last year for including jokes about eating disorders on two of its shows.

More recently, she fueled rumors of a breakup with Valderrama, whom she's never copped to dating, by retweeting a Marilyn Monroe quotation: "A wise girl kisses but doesn't love, listens but doesn't believe, and leaves before she is left."

Shortly after that, she wrote, "The smartest thing a woman can ever learn, is to never need a man."

Ooof! Here's hoping she kisses and makes up with Twitter soon!
