De Mornay's Risky DUI Business

Where's a subway when you need one?

Beverly Hills police confirmed Tuesday that Rebecca De Mornay was arrested Oct. 30 on suspicion of drunken driving after a routine traffic stop.

The 48-year-old Risky Business vixen was driving near Sunset Boulevard when officers pulled her over for an unspecified traffic violation around 10:30 p.m., according to Beverly Hills Police Department spokesman Lieutenant Tony Lee.

The officers "immediately detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage," Lee said, and administered a series of field sobriety tests.

De Mornay was then taken into custody, cited for DUI and released shortly before 1 a.m. According to police; her blood-alcohol level registered at 0.09 percent, slightly above the legal 0.08 limit.

Before Julia Roberts made it chic, De Mornay made a name for herself playing a fresh-faced hooker in 1983's Risky Business, her tryst with Tom Cruise in a subway car ranking right up there with Cruise's air guitar on the list of memorable movie scenes.

The actress went on to freak out parents everywhere as the psycho nanny in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, and on to star turns in Backdraft, Guilty as Sin and The Three Musketeers and guest spots on ER, The Practice and Law & Order: SVU.

She most recently played a (where does the time go) grandmother in the short-lived HBO series John from Cincinnati. Up next for De Mornay, besides a court date, is the indie drama American Venus.
