David Boreanaz Is No Angel, Admits to Cheating on Wife

What a Bones-headed thing to do.

David Boreanaz has admitted to cheating on his wife of more than eight years, Jaime Bergman. This is the actor's second marriage; they have two children together.

"Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities," the former Angel hunk tells People. "I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible."

Well, then!

"I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with," Boreanaz, 40, continues. "She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion."

The actor says that the ex-mistress had threatened to contact the media, so he wanted to step up before a Bombshell dropped the cheating rumors ran wild.

"We're working on our marriage," Boreanaz concludes. "We're working on repairing what has been damaged so badly."

He and Bergman tied the knot in November 2001. They have and 8-year-old son, Jaden, and an 8-month-old daughter, Bardot.
