It probably won't happen, but Tom Bergeron was certainly persuasive as he assured tonight's first musical guest that, even though she can't dance like the pros now, "We'll teach you."
But before we can bang the drum for Kelly, there are eight celebs to knock off before a mirror-ball trophy winner can be declared this season. Last night, J.R. Martinez was not surprisingly the best of the bunch, but former front-runner Ricki Lake dropped to the middle of the pack.

It wasn't just the fashion that made the 1980s a scary time. Not tonight, anyway.
It was '80s night on Dancing With the Stars, and, from Hope Solo's bleeding lip to Carson Kressly's cheerleading routine to Nancy Grace's prom dress, it was a tough decade to relive.
And those were just the first three routines!

Movie theme week continued tonight on Dancing With the Stars.
Raphael Saadiq sang "Soul Man" from The Blues Brothers. Susan Boyle sang "Unchained Melody" (not "Enchanted Melody," Brooke Burke-Charvet, but nice try) from Ghost. And two-time pro champ Julianne Hough brought her adorable self back to the ballroom to cut a rug with her Footloose costar Kenny Wormald.
Whether that remake makes a dent at the box office remains to be seen, but another DWTS hopeful slipped through the cracks tonight. After a leaderboard shakeup that saw Chynna Phillips tie Nancy Grace after blanking on her tango routine, who got the boot tonight?

Dancing With the Stars' David Arquette Preparing to Show Some Skin!
David Arquette lives to dance another day.
After landing in the bottom two this week with partner Kym Johnson (Elisabetta Canalis ended up saying goodbye to the ballroom), Arquette tells us that he'll be pulling out all the stops to stay on Dancing With the Stars for as long as possible. Slight nudity included. Arquette says he's "definitely showing some skin" next week when he dances the rumba, otherwise known as "the dance of love."
So why was Arquette "confused" by his spot in the bottom two last week? And what does Coco, his 7-year-old daughter with Courteney Cox, think of his dancing? Here's what he told us when we caught up with him today during a rehearsal break...

That's all Nancy Grace could really do last night (aside from tossing her hands in the air, but that might risk another wardrobe malfunction) after her breast-petal-covered right nipple played peekaboo at the end of her energetic quickstep.
So, did the slip work in her favor, i.e. via sympathy votes? Did the eyeful result in fewer people picking up the phone? Or was HLN's outspoken criminal-law analyst on her way out regardless?

Somebody always has to go first.
No one wants the distinction of being the first celebrity booted from Dancing With the Stars, but time after time, someone takes the hit, never to be heard from again until the finale.
And this year the ax is swinging even earlier, with ABC opting to get right to business instead of have two performance nights before the first elimination.
Eight points (and potential) separated last place from first yesterday, but with everyone crammed between them...You never know what the voters are going to do on night one.
