Crisscrossing the Country: Wentz & Simpson in the Hamptons, Hiltons in Malibu

Fourth of July celebrations continued this weekend for some of our favorite celebs.
Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz used Justin Timberlake to prove his love to girlfriend Ashlee Simpson when he hosted a bash with BlackBook magazine and Hpnotiq liqueur at Dune nightclub in Southampton, New York.
Wentz was deejay for the evening and dedicated J.T.'s hit "Summer Love" to Simpson. She responded by mouthing the lyrics of the song—"I can't wait to fall in love with you"—in Wentz's direction and blew him kisses.
Talking about kisses, Pamela Anderson planted a friendly one on David Spade's cheek while the two partied into the wee hours on Saturday night at Jet nightclub at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
Also at Jet was Sophia Bush, who was celebrating her 25th birthday with a gaggle of pals. During the day, Bush and her posse got some sun at the top-optional Bare pool lounge at the Mirage. Bush kept her top on.
Earlier in the weekend, on Friday night, Kurt Russell hit Sin City's Light nightclub for a nephew's bachelor party.
On the West Coast, wrap-dress queen Diane von Furstenberg's hottie son, Alex, celebrated his new surf shop, Clout, on Friday night at the Polaroid Beach House in Malibu. The evening started with a sit-down dinner of roasted lamb, lobster and plenty of Svedka vodka cocktails.
Guests included Paris and Nicky Hilton, Jeremy Piven, Harry Morton, Lady Victoria Hervey and Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson.
The shindig—which lasted until sunrise on Saturday—was capped off with an unexpected surprise. "They brought out a drum set, and Alex entertained the crowd with an impromptu performance," a guest reports.
Over at Malibu's Silver Spoon Beach House, I'm told the hottest swag item is a bikini from L* Space. Spotted on the beach in the last few days wearing them were Lindsay Lohan and her sister Ali, Courteney Cox and one of E!'s former Cattle Drive stars, Courtney Semel.
