Courtney Love Makes Peace Over Nirvana

Forget teen spirt. This smells like a settlement.

Courtney Love has made nice in a big-bucks legal battle over the Nirvana publishing catalog.

Love had been sued for $1 million by her former business manager for allegedly failing to fork over profits from the sale of Kurt Cobain's cache of songs. Now, her lawyer, James Janowitz, confirms a Los Angeles judge has dismissed the complaint after he and L.A.-based London & Co. had come to a resolution.

"There was an arbitration with London & Co., her former business manager. It was settled," Janowitz tells E! News.

As Cobain's widow, Love controls the bulk of Nirvana's publishing rights. When she unloaded the publishing catalog for $19.5 million in 2008, her former management sued, claiming she reneged on an oral agreement to pay the company 5 percent of the proceeds, or $975,000.

Attorneys for London & Co. were unavailable for comment.
