Seriously, Coldplay? OK then.

Apparently, X&Y isn't just the name of an old Coldplay album. It's two of their favorite letters.

The Brit rockers unveiled the title and cover art for their forthcoming fifth studio album this morning, and it certainly seems like they had their spellcheck off when they hit send on the press release.

"Hello everybody, we have finished our new album," a message posted on the band's official site read. "It's called Mylo Xyloto and it comes out on October 24. We hope you like it and we hope you are well. Love from Chris (and Will, Jonny & Guy & Phil)."

Wait a minute…Phil? Your guess is as good as ours on that one. On that, and the derivation of the cryptically titled album.

Incidentally, that online message may have been intended primarily for Chris Martin & Co.'s U.K. fanbase, as the album isn't actually out in the U.S. until Oct. 25.

The one message that was meant for everyone, however, was the handy pronunciation guide: "P.S. it is pronounced 'MY-lo ZY-letoe,' " they wrote.

In any case, the band's next single, the more traditionally titled "Paradise," is set for release on Sept. 12.
