Who won the 2011 World Series? We're going to go with...American Idol.

Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery kicked off the festivities last week when he crooned the national anthem before Game 1, and season five fourth-runner-up Chris Daughtry was on hand to bring it all home before Game 7.

Sure, he didn't win his season, but Daughtry has had one of the most successful careers of any Idol alum. And who better to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the final Major League Baseball game of the year than a rocker who knows all about going "Home"?

After last night's nail-biter, both the Rangers and the Cardinals could probably use all the encouragement they can get.

So far, World Series watchers have been treated to the countrified sounds of McCreery and Trace Adkins, Zooey Deschanel's dulcet tones and Demi Lovato's booming ballad style. How did Daughtry's high-note-eschewing rocker rendition measure up?

Listen right here and let us know if his national anthem was music to your ears or if you're glad you voted for Taylor Hicks.
