Choose Your Favorite Beyoncé Single
Happy B'day everyone. You know how much Beyoncé loves us all? Enough to gift us with not one but two new singles on the same day.
(Considering she recorded 70 songs for her self-titled album, due out Nov. 18, she could release a single a day over the next month and still have plenty left over.)
First up is "If I Were a Boy"—a ballad in which B. ponders what it would be like drinking beer with the boys, chasing after girls, putting her(him?)self first and treating girlfriends like crap. Although if she were a boy, she would treat her girlfriend better than all that, natch.
If gender-bending ballads aren't your thing, you have the option of listening to "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)."
This one is more upbeat, typical Beyoncé fare about how awesome it is to be a girl in a club, and no doubt she'll have a nice video full of short, sequined dresses, wind machines and dance routines to go along with it.
Give 'em a listen and tell us: Which do you prefer? Are two singles too much? And does anyone else think the "Boy" one sounds too much like Rihanna's "Take a Bow"?
