Chicks' Maines a Mommy Again
Forget Chicks, they're reproducing so fast we should call 'em the Dixie Rabbits.
Dixie Chicks frontwoman Natalie Maines has another hatchling on her hands--it's the third Dixie Chicklet in the past three months.
Maines' latest offspring, a boy, made his grand entrance July 14, according to a brief statement posted Friday on the band's Website.
Beckett Finn Pasdar, the second child for Maines and her husband, actor Adrian Pasdar, weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces.
"Mother and child are doing fine," the Web statement said.
Beckett joins big brother Jackson Slade, 3, in the Pasdar-Maines brood.
The burgeoning Chick nursery also includes twins Eva Ruth and Kathleen Emilie Maguire, born to bandmate Martie Maguire on April 27, and Charles Robison, born in 2002 to the third Chick, Emily Robison.
Maines is the controversial, Bush-bashing member of the seven-time Grammy-winning Texas trio.
She tied the knot with Pasdar in 2000 after meeting him at Robison's wedding. Pasdar made his acting debut as Chipper in Top Gun, starred in a string of B movies and now has a recurring role on CBS' Judge Amy.
The Chicks, meanwhile, will be on maternity leave for a couple of months before returning to the studio to finish their long-coming follow-up to 2002's multiplatinum Home. Their most recent release was the 2003 concert disc, Top of the World Tour Live.
