Sometimes you don't want to go anywhere near someone who knows your name.
Cheers star John Ratzenberger filed a request for a temporary restraining order from his ex-girlfriend, Lindsay McGrail, on Wednesday. The erstwhile Cliff Clavin claims she's deluged him with harassing emails and insists—we're not making this up—her love of country music may lead to violence.
"In a recent phone call, she indicated that it is common in many country western songs for women to set the cars of former boyfriends on fire," Ratzenberger says in court documents obtained by E! News. "This statement insinuates that she may have the capacity to perpetuate this act or similar violent conduct."
The star—who participated in the fourth season of Dancing With the Stars and has performed a voiceover in every Pixar movie, including Cars (Mack the truck) and the Toy Story series (Hamm)—also alleges that his 46-year-old former gal-pal has been contacting his friends, family and colleagues with "false and defamatory statements" about him.
Ratzenberger is requesting a court order for McGrail to keep 100 yards from him, as well as his house, workplace and car.
