"Can't Be Tamed" crooner debuted new 'do while stepping out in Los Angeles

Out with the old, in with the new…hairstyle, that is.

Miley Cyrus was spotted grabbing lunch at Wokcano with friends in Los Angeles Friday, sporting shorter locks. 

The 19-year-old "Party in the USA" warbler, who rocked cutoff jean shorts and a plaid shirt for the occasion, told fans via Twitter that day that she cut her hair, but didn't go on to tweet a picture of just how short the new cut actually was.  

"Just got a hurrrr cut," Cyrus tweeted.

After a follower asked her to post a pic, the former Hannah Montana star said, "I didn't do anything to crazy. But I did take 5 inches off!"
