Charlie Sheen's good-time gal turned out to be a very bad time indeed. For both of them.
But while Capri Anderson (or whatever her name is), has stayed relatively silent since Oct. 25, the night that provided the latest hit to Sheen's impenetrable reputation and resulted in the actor's hospitalization, she's coming out guns blazing now, claiming Sheen lobbed vulgur racial slurs, threw a lamp at her, stabbed her purse, and snorted a white substance while in her presence.
Oh, and Denise Richards called her a floozy. Indirectly!
So while Anderson said she was "fine" the next day, turns out that wasn't exactly the case. She announced this morning that she'll be filing a civil suit against Sheen in an attempt to reap the rewards of her night from hell. Fun! Here's the deal…
Anderson announced this morning that she will be filing the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court today, alleging abuse, assault and false imprisonment for her horrible ordeal last month. She also said she would lodge a police report in New York.
"It was absolutely not what I expected," Capri understated in an interview with Good Morning America this morning, the first in her mini media blitz which will include a sitdown with Nightline tonight.
"He definitely was growing more intense as the night grew and went on," she said of Sheen. "It's hard to say being that it was my first time hanging out with him if that was normal of his everyday behavior."
When George Stephanopoulos interjected that the "intensity" she was talking about was mostly the lobbing of racial slurs and heavily drinking, Capri agreed.
"He seemed like a very egotistical person. I'm not even really comfortable repeating the things that he said, they were that vulgar."
Let's backtrack for a second: what Capri was expecting was nothing more than escorting Sheen to a dinner party, for which the actor had agreed to pay her $3,500. Despite reports that the argument began when Anderson wanted money for sex, she denied that was the case, and while she admitted there was "a little romance" between them in the hotel room, she never demanded nor expected cash for the acts.
The dinner party also started out pleasant enough, with Capri calling it "very nice," and saying that she spent most of the evening speaking with Denise Richards.
Until Charlie became drunk and more and more girls showed up, at which point Richards, according to Anderson, uttered the following: "I'm just leaving. I didn't realize it was going to be a party of floozies."
While the party had intentions of continuing the night out, Charlie was clearly not working at maximum capacity and one of Sheen's friends approached Anderson, asking that she make sure the actor "gets up to his room and stays in there."
"He was fairly intoxicated," she noted.
"I was sitting on the edge of a coffee table, and he was serving us both drinks, and he was snorting something," she went on. A "white powdery substance," her attorney added.
"There was a little bit of romance, if you will," she said. "I was there willingly, initially."
But then just like that, things started going wrong.
"When I became really uncomfortable was when he put his hands around my neck. Things began to rapidly fall apart and get out of hand…I felt I was no longer in a good situation. I started to resist, and as soon as I did that, he let off of me.
"He started throwing things. He threw a lamp. That was the first thing he picked up. And he threw it across the room at me…I became very shocked, scared."
Particularly when she saw Sheen pick up a shiny object, which she thought might have been either a letter opener or a knife.
"I was shocked. I didn't know what to do."
What she didn't do, incidentally, was immediately phone the police, instead dialing up a girlfriend. Once police arrived to the scene, she said she told them she was "fine" in response to a question about whether she had any significant injuries. She also noted that she was "crying and embarrassed" and found the cops to be "very condescending," which isn't exactly conducive to opening up.
Anderson and her lawyer returned later in the show to continue the interview and respond to Sheen's statement that he'd simply had "one bad night," as well as his claims that the bust-up was sparked by her allegedly stealing his watch.
"I'm not surprised, I guess, but it's kind of silly being that there was never really any missing watch," she said. "I only heard about that based on the news reports."
Meanwhile, as Sheen's attorneys responded with a a statement saying they would "defend this lawsuit vigorously and will never pay [Anderson] any money," Anderson said that that's something of a change in tune.
Anderson said that Sheen phoned her the day after offering her money for her silence, though didn't reveal the exact figure that was extended to her.
"He apologized for his behavior and the entire evening, I guess," she said of their discussion. "The apology was very simple, it wasn't an elaborate apology. It was just, I'm sorry and I couldn't have asked to be accompanied by a nicer, sweeter…basically he went on to compliment me."
It was then her attorney's turn to jump into the GMA fray, who cagily denied answering questions about whether or not he had sought a financial settlement from Sheen's camp in the days since the event.
"There's certain things that no one can deny about that evening," the attorney, Keith Davidson, said. "One person was brought away from that hospital against their will, and it was Mr. Sheen."
As for the statement from Sheen's lawyers vowing never to pay Anderson a dime?
"We'll see." Yes, we will.
UPDATE at 8:45 a.m.: Sheen publicist Stan Rosenfield just issued the following statement to E! News:
"Ms. Capri never made any allegation to the police of any wrongful conduct on the part of Mr. Sheen the night of the incident and she had every opportunity to do so. She also posted on her website that she was 'fine' and if you wanted to see more of her, for a price, one could enter the website.
"She has been to a number of law firms who have refused her case because they doubt her credibility. A number of news organizations have refused her story for the same reasons. If she pursues legal action, we will defend this vigorously. These allegations against Mr. Sheen are completely false, and are an blatant attempt to cash in on his celebrity."
